Welcome to day 1 of my 3 day self-guided tour of London England. I use to live here as an expat and it still is one of my favorite cities in the world, rich with history, culture and just a great place to wander about….Read More
Welcome to day 2 of the London Wander. Truth be told, this is my favorite of all the walks- mostly because it has less to do with the typical Royal frequented tourist sites and more about a day out shopping, eating, visiting a few pubs…Read More
Day 3 of your self-guided London walk covers the largest distance of all 3 Wanders; however, since half-way through you take a tube ride, it still keeps the walking distance to only 3.3 miles in total. This Wander also has half the number of points…Read More
My new fav in NYC is taking a stroll on the High Line! Definitely recommend this 1.45 mile elevated walkway repurposed from an old NY Central railroad. It is a nice place to catch a breeze on a hot day in the city.
Construction began in 2006 and finished in 2014 and spans from Gansevoort Street to 34th Street.
The entire walk gives you a completely different vantage point of this amazing city. I recommend walking the entire length, but if you are short on time, I would suggest starting at 23rd street and walking towards Gansevoort Street. It has the most vegetation and shade which is welcome on a hot day. The added bonus with concluding your stroll on the south end of the line is that it ends right near the Chelsea Markets, which is a great place to grab a bite and a cold drink!
